Press Release
Dr. Greg Brannon speaks to local group ties health solutions to Founding Principles
The Conservative Republican Club hosted a very dynamic speaker in Dr. Greg Brannon from Cary who is a real Patriot. He is a practicing OB/Gyn doctor. He quoted without notes a number of sayings from our Founding Fathers and explained the meaning behind several articles of our constitution. He has an amazing background in the history of our early America and has a unique ability to relate our history to what is happening now. Dr. Brannon then gave insights into the Health Care Industry and the pitfalls of the Obama Plan and the effects of current insurance rules and payments.
Dr. Brannon is the president and founder of Founder's Truth whose website can be accessed at: www.founderstruth.org.
An interesting fact about the 45 attendees was the role they play in our local political process. Following is a list of organizations represented:
1 Seated State House Representative.
1 past candidate for the State Senate.
1 past candidate for the US Congress.
1 past candidate for County Sheriff.
Chairman of the Republican Women's Club.
Past Chairman of the Republican Women's Club.
Chairman of the Beaufort Patriot Tea Party.
2 County Commissioners.
5 Precinct Chairmen.
11 members of the Republican Executive Committee.
Vice Chairman of the Beaufort County Republican Party.
State Chairman of the Victims Advocacy Committee.
1 Campaign Chairman.
1 New Candidate for the US Senate.
The follow up questions and comments from this broad cross section of leaders clearly expressed the firm position of Conservative Republicans and informed Unaffiliated that voters are looking toward Conservative Values and less government in our lives. The centrist and RINO position is not going to fit with voters that will make a difference in the coming election. Unity will be important but not at the expense of principle.
The Beaufort County Conservative Republican Club is a group of local citizens dedicated to returning the nation, state and county to the fundamental principles upon which our nation was founded. The Club meets the second Thursday of each month in the west side of the Mt. Olive College Building on U. S. 264 west of Washington. A light meal, usually pizza and salad, is served for $6.00. Guest are invited and anyone who is a conservative will feel comfortable attending regardless of whether they are registered Republicans or not. The Club has a number of unaffilitated members. The Club used to be known as the "Republican Men's Club" but that name was changed because there are about as many women members as men.
